When Psyche Dreams of Eros

When Psyche dreams of Eros,
She calls out to his spirit,
And hopes that he will feel her in his heart,
And prays that he will hear it.

Drawn together through the Ether,
The remembrance of past romance,
They beam up in diamond white rays,
Meet in Heaven, and dance.

They touch hands, and intertwine bodies,
They kiss slowly, and merge into One.
Yet when on Earth, they are separate;
Male and female, moon and sun.

When they were Royal, they wore crowns,
Golden ruby and emerald rings,
Lived lifetimes of mythic legends,
Yet cared not deeply of these things.

For soul love is what they sought -
The Divine Union - and it's sacred bliss;
Found deep within the mystic's heart,
Soul love is what this is.

When Psyche dreamed of Eros,
She gazed into his deep-set eyes.
She saw his lips, his hair, his skin;
Caressed his back, his arms, and thighs.

He boldly came up to meet her,
As she gracefully went down the stairs,
They met in the middle of the landing,
And couldn't help but make love right there.

In one suspended moment,
They would have gladly given in to death.
He felt his energy alive in her,
And she breathed in his sweet fire breath.

But in her waking life
There lingers the pain of separation,
An ever-present yearning
For her bleeding heart's other dragon.

Yet always, Eros is in Psyche,
Forever connected and present within.
From this revelation, one day she'll be blessed
To meet her mortal soul love's twin.
